Is it that time of year already? A burst of colour in a snowfield. Life pushing up through the frozen ground. Nature is the original shelter.

Winter Garden is a landscape you can escape into. Fantastic scale and unexpected material sparks the imagination and creates a scene for play.

A crack between the blades invites you to step inside, into a cozy grove sheltered from view. Take a seat on a pebble and take a break. Peer up through the grassy tips and feel miniature. Soft folds around you dull the wind and sounds.
“WINTER GARDEN” is a lush oasis emerging in the dead of winter. The giant grove of grass is made of simple repeatable elements that can be easily flat-packed and shipped, allowing our team to create the majority of the installation in Vancouver, and minimize construction on-site. The base of the installation integrates with the pre-fab sleds, which makes transportation simple and saves material.
