Our concept draws inspiration from the nostalgic simplicity of the neighbourhood lemonade stand, which was often crafted from leftover materials and manifested by entrepreneurship and creativity. We imagine a Lemonade Stand designed by that same kid
from the block, but evolved into a display of sustainable ideas and contemporary forms.
The Lemonade Stand is made of triple-wall corrugated cardboard and cardboard kraft tubes donated from local print shops. Using cardboard as the main construction material not only reduces upfront costs but also allows everything to be recycled at the end.
“Connection” is a theme we are taking quite literally by proposing a modular design of interconnected pieces. A simple connection detail allows for easy assembly, disassembly, transportation, and storage. The modules can be rearranged per event or even daily. This versatility means the AFBC booth can adapt to both DVF and IDS venues, and maximize public interest and interaction.
